I used Expedia for their 24 hour notice free cancellation for a 100% refund, little did I know I was getting scammed by a corporate thief. My mom came to visit me here in Colombia. Immigration requires a flight back, but she does not know when she wants to go back. So I bought this ticket for $133 hard earned bucks, and 16 hours later I called to cancel and refund my money. Expedia 24 hour cancellation policy travel is a complete ripoff, buyer beware.

Expedia replied with the following – we only offer 100% refunds …”for normal carriers like Delta, United, etc. However, Viva Air Colombia is a special carrier and once the booking is complete they have the control for changes or cancellations.”

How am I suppose to know that? Just buyer beware when trying to use Expedia.
