#5 – Do not bring a plastic bag. Monkey’s love plastic see thru bags, if they see one they will steal it. They love to play with it. If you leave your plastic bag unattended you will certainly have your bag stolen by a monkey.
#6 – Take care of your belongings, monkeys will steal items. They are very fast and in the Monkey Forest
#7 – Do not touch, grab or disturb the monkeys especially babies, the mothers are very defensive. You will want to pet a monkey since they are so close to you or on top of you. To stay safe, you should never try to pet one. They are unpredictable wild animals, and can leave you a nasty bite or scratch.
#8 – Do not feed peanuts, cookies, candy, bread, or any snack or drink (bananas are okay but I don’t recommend it, since they will harrass you even after gave all your bananas away). There will be professional handlers there on site, they will feed the monkey’s seeds directly from your hand. The handlers know which monkeys are more calm and which are more dangerous.
#9 – Children ought to be supervised at all times. Since monkeys are wild they can be very unpredictable. Many children will try to hug or grab a monkey since they are about the same height and weight. But don’t let the small size fool you. These monkey have 3 inch fangs and claws the size of a mans hand.
#10 – Make sure to have cash for the entrance fee since they don’t accept credit cards. The handlers will charge you up to 50-100 rupies, about $6 to take a picture with the monkey… by the way you can also do videos so have your video cameras ready.
